I've been recieving CSA from my ex husband.
However recently his parents died and he has received an inheritance, it's a considerable amount.
He has made it known that he intends to give up work now he doesn't need to. And this would stop the CSA payments will end.
I was wondering if the heritance counted as an income? And I can ask the csa to look into this?

I think the op is checking what his ex can claim from him.
How bizarre.

Sorry for the confusion-
My wifes ex husband will be giving up his job because he has received an inheritance.
You need to ask the CSA whether they can do anything about this.
