Assured tenancy agreement through housing association - a couple with children moved in, after a year man moved out, couple of years later woman moving out with kids but ex's name still on tenancy agreement. Can he move back in even though it is social housing and he would be a single man with no children living in a 2 bedroom property? Can tenancy be terminated without his say so?

If his name has been on the agreement all this time then yes i guess, as long as the rent is up to date and he carries on paying it.
if he was to live there on his own, the housing association would need to agree and assign the tenancy to his name.
if the housing association arent very approachable, i would suggest contacting Shelter with any questions you may have.

must add, we don't want him to move in, but have been told that he may, legally, have a right to do so
