I'm been sued for a large sum of money by my once business partner. I drafted and signed an agreement agreeing to pay. However, I've had second thoughts. Can I claim that I was under duress? What evidence would I need to show in my defence?

My first question to you would be did you sign it under duress? From your account it seems like you have simply changed your mind. What was the duress? Specific threats to your saftey and wellbeing? Do you have any proof of this
