Parking vehicles on housing estate

I live on a private housing estate. There is a car park with ten spaces outside my house.
I park my car, with difficulty, every night. My girlfriend recently bought a car and we are finding it very difficult to find a space for both vehicles. One of the other tennant that uses the car park parks either five or six vehicles a night.
There is nothing in my tennancy agreement that says I am entitled to a specific number of spaces, or that a specific number of spaces should be made available to each house.
The person that parks these cars and vans uses some of them as a means of storing tools etc. and I am sure that they are not taxed and insured. My father has told me to contact the police and tell them but I am unsure what to do and say.

Please help!

How are you sure these vehicles are not taxed and insured?

These are private parking spaces and the police will not get involved. Vehicles do not need insured to be parked in such places and they may have SORN if they are kept off road.

The police will only be interested if the vehicles are not taxed or insured and are on the public highway. They will not be bothered about your parking issue.

As you have a tenancy agreement - is the neighbour also renting?
not an answer just curious, how many properties share this car park?
someother subscriber,,,,once pointed out that , you can be prosecuted for "driving" without insurance on a land , which may not be regarded as a "public highway" ... if this fact is true , then the police when the want (or know how to ) ... can prosecute someone they have stopped driving on "private dwellings " ,without "motor insurance cover " ....... (as for prosecuting a registerd keeper for "storing" car(s ) , on a "private dwelling" < well this i cant answer 100 per cent ...... you could try the local cop shop , or community police officers ,.... or contact the council, i guess the vast percentage of theses vehicles , refered to by " jobby" the question author are not taxed ,,,,,,

I'm not sure about the insurance, but some of the vehicles are definately not taxed/don't have valid disc displayed.
The person in question is renting from the same letting agent as I am.
There are about 6 or 7 properties that use the car park. There are other car parks on the estate that are closer to other properties.
The cars are mostly old bangers and I don't think they run, so more than likely they don't have valid mot certificates.
He also uses a mini motorbike and quad bike on our estate.
Law drop out - that applies to car parks that have access to the general public. Supermarket car park is a good example. This is a private car park for the residents so does not apply.

If the cars are non-runners they probably have sorn notices - but you can contact the DVLA if you wish - you can do it online:

They don't need MOTs to be parked on private land.

Contact the police about the mini bikes and quads - he should not be doing that
