Can any of you legal folks give me some indication of my rights ?

The FofI Act website is so convaluted.

I was an occupant of an Housing Association property for some months - not a named tenant.

During my residence I wrote several letters to said Housing Association.

I have simply requested copies of these for a legal case. Basically to prove that I was a resident at that address.

These letters were written and signed by me.

Am I entitled to copies of this correspondence ?

Have you asked the Association for copies? This is not the sort of thing that normally falls wiitn the FoI Act and there is nothing to say that the Association has kept copies.

However, if they have them, they may be willing to give them back to you.

Did you keep your own copies?

Thanks Ethel - yes has asked for copies. Seems that they want to play a waiting game with me.
