Is it ok to park your car partly on a bus stop? (at the end of the bus stop but still within the yellow markings.) There are people in our street that seem to think that it's ok to do so on some evenings, when they have run out of parking spaces elsewhere along the road for them and their many visitors. Just wondered what the rule is, or is it a grey area?

Not a grey area at all. You are not allowed, simple as that. Even one wheel.

That's what I thought. These selfish people have about 5 or 6 cars just for 1 family. They can't fit all their cars in their driveway ,so use large areas outside on the road. Even that's not enough now and the bus stop is used too. They frequently have visitors especially weekends, i.e. Friday,Sat evenings and that's when someones car parks on the bus stop.
