I have spoken to Paypal today regarding the problem with this so called Jp Sports. Paypal need more people to complaint so please if anyone has had this problem please do so ASAP. I also gave them this website address with all your views and comments which he said he would pass onto his supervisor. Hopefully this will push for something to be done. I too am also thinking about ringing Watchdog to see if they can do anything about this. Please could everyone keep me informed with their results and i will also do the same. Anyway good luck and lets just hope something does get done about them!!!!!!
In May I also paid for a west ham football shirt to receive nothing. I also contacted them and got a reply that I should receive a replacement via EMS express. Then, just like everyone else, I get all my other e-mails returned!
I have just logged a complaint with paypal and hope to receive some info shortly.
I am getting standard replies back from Paypal stating that their 45 day cut off point is to prevent fraud, companies couldn't possibly be expected to keep customer info indefinitely. I have emailed them to ask what if that very system is being used to defraud customers.
Please complain, complain & continue to complain to Paypal. I would really love to know the earliest somebody complained to Paypal about this company & whether they continued to let this outfit use the Paypal system when concerns had been highlighted about them. I have also emailed Watchdog, please do the same. Another website youthe jury has a large no of complaints about j-p.sports.
I have registered to this forum to add to the list. I had a family member travelling to Canada for a vacation and they wanted to take presents over to the kids. I ordered six football tops from three different companies two of which delivered, one didnt ,JP-SPORTS. I guess Im lucky I did not order the six from JP-SPORTS. I have tried contacting the company but with no joy. I will log a complaint with PAYPAL Im still under the forty-five days so I can raise a dispute with them. Thanks for the valuable information found on this forum.
I have heard from my credit card todayt hat I will be eligible for a refund due to non receipt of goods paid for on the card , minus charges - they haven't said what those charges will be but i guess some refund is better than no refund!
I have just heard from PAYPAL in this matter and they have decided in my favour...this isn't much use as the paypal account of jp sports in empty so no refund can be recovered.I am absolutely livid that this site has made so much money off people and are seemingly untouchable now.
Yep! we too have been duped by JPsports and have had no luck with paypal. We were inside the 45 days with paypal too! Am really disapointed with them they just say as there are no funds in the account they cannot retrieve any monies owed to us! - Like they're gonna leave any!!
So much for feeling like you are ok by paying via paypal!
I agree with "Pryke" saying that paypal should have a duty of care to make sure companies going through them are checked out. Can't believe they aren't! It would be interesting to see their response legally!
I to have had the same problem as all you others on here. Back in may I purchased a Liverpool Footbal Shirt for my son, and when it came to the beginning of June I stil hadn't received anything. So I chased them, got the runaround like everyone else (i.e promised a refund) but up until today I had no luck. I tried Paypal, my Bank, Consumer Direct (who helped a bit). Consumer direct advised me to tell everyone who has this problem to contact Trading Standards with their information & Watchdog. Paypal e0mailed today saying that the link to their site now works again, but their is only a short message posted on the site. Try www.jaysport.net. The message seems a little amateur but their you go, what did we expect. I am still going to pursue Paypal and Jay Sports until I get something!!!!
Yeah, woohoo, decided in my favour, thanks a million PayPal. Last time I use you.

"After careful review, we have concluded our investigation of the Buyer Complaint described below.

We have decided in your favour, however, we were unable to recover any funds from the seller's account. As stated in the PayPal User Agreement, recovery of funds associated with a Buyer Complaint cannot be guaranteed.

Please know that we will make our best effort to recover the funds in question if they become available in the seller's account in the future, and will take appropriate action against the seller. Such action may include issuing a warning, a temporary restriction, or terminating the account. Keep in mind that PayPal uses a number of factors, including member complaints, to determine when to take action. Due to privacy laws, we cannot discuss the details of any action taken. We hope you understand our policy and that it reassures you that you are safe using PayPal. "
Hi. I also joined today to say I'm another one thats been swindled. Ordered 2 named shirts back in March, guess what - never arrived. Sent numerous emails and they promised they would send replacements by EMS delivery and gave me a 5% discount. They never arrived either, the cheque did thou for about 6.00 - it came from Ireland if that helps anyone.

I have complained to Paypal but sounds like they too are swindlers listening to all the troubles everyone else has said. Makes me wary using Paypal now.

Thanks to everyone for keeping each other informed.
Hi
february 9th i ordered a liverpool t-shirt for my husband, In july i was still in contact with jp-sports asking for a refund....as like others i was told i was going to recieve a replacment by some special delivery service within 10 days but didnt recieve that item either. Then was told as soon as the post office had tracked my order i would recieve a full refund, and i can bet you can all guess what happened next............thats right no refund no replies and no t-shirt. I have just looked through my bank statements to see how i payed them and it was through paypal so i will get hold of them now but the payment was made to jay sports....is that the high street company??? Will it be to late for paypal to get me a refund now?
Hi
In answer to your question Paypal will tell you that they only refund for non-delivery if its under 45 days, like others, I was over the 45 days and thats how we found out this rule. Someone else commented above that they were unable to get their refund even thou it was less than 45 days because there was no money in the JP Sports account. Basically they have done a runner with our money.
I'm still going to use paypal in future - just be more cautious.
I too purchased a childs football kit in May, Paypal are not interested and havn't even given me a response. I have contacted my visa company who again don't seem to care, this Comapny has taken us all up the garden path, there must be something we can do?
I don't think there is anything we can do about it. Everybody tried Paypal and their credit card company, and hardly anybody got any refund. I tried very hard in the beginning, but I am tired now, so I gave up, next time be more careful. That's all we can do.
