I bought a stereo from Powerhouse and took out a cashback insurance plan from them where, if I didn't use the insurance, I got the premium back after 5 years. Since then, Powerhouse have gone bust. The 5 years is up in January and I wondered where I stand with the policy now. Has anyone tried to get their money back from a similar policy with Powerhouse? What are my chances of seeing my money again?

It is very likely that the insurance plan was not with Powerhouse themselves, but with an independent insurance company. If this is the case you should have no problem getting the premium back - assuming Powerhouse paid it to them in the first place!.

If it was with Powerhouse and you paid by credit card then try your card company.
