Could anyone point out the procedure I need to follow to claim back an unlawfully issued speeding fine.

When I first heard of the carry on in Teeside regarding the unlawfully issued speeding fines I thought I would just forget about it, after all I had been flashed doing 45mph in a 40mph zone but having heard about the PC who has more or less got away with doing 159mph I have changed my mind, I've decided I now want my 60.00 back & penalty points removed.

Any advice would be much appreciated :)

Cheers for that Kathyan. Apparently for the last few years all the speeding fines handed out in Tesside have been wrongly worded and have now been declared unlawful ..... Just don't know how to go about getting my refund??
try appealnow.com
or listen to Talk Sport on a sat evening 10-1 when Mike Dicken has 2 guests every 6 weeks or so who deal with this sort of stuff
PhilBy I was being a little sarcastic! You should know by now that there is one rule for the police and another completely different rule for us mere mortals!

This is genuine Kathyan, the Tv has been full of it. The Police are asking people to accpet they were speeding and not to put in a claim to have their fine paid back as it could cost them millions! I was quite prepared to do this until the case against the speeding bobby. As you quite rightly say there has always been one rule for them & one rule for us ............. nice to get one back :)
