The punishment for not following your civil injunction is:

a 3 month detention order if you’re under 18

up to 2 years’ imprisonment or unlimited fine if you’re 18 or over

The punishment for not following your CPN is a fine between £100 and £2,500.

The punishment for not following your CBO is:

up to 2 years in a detention centre if you’re under 18

up to 5 years in prison or an unlimited fine (or both) if you’re 18 or over

Question Author

??

How are you in a pickle?

Did you get a CPN and not abide by it?

A CPN is a civil order;  CBO is a criminal order

Question Author

DDIL, Basically yes.

I got excluded from a local shopping centre but as there are now next to no public toilets...and needed one urgently...I took my chance and tried to enter to enter to use theirs. Within minutes I got arrested, locked up and charged. (and am in court 6 may).

I would have been better off just urinating in the street.

Ok, were you sober?

Do you have anyone to go to court with your to explain in a reasonable manner?

Question Author

Thanks barry.

Then why am I in a criminal court for a civil matter?

Were you stopped by a Mall Cop?

Were you polite when challenged?

Question Author

DDIL,

No i wasnt sober but havnt been charged with been drunk.

Cant get legal aid to assist either.

Question Author

DDIL,

Ive only been charged with CPN

Because breaching a civil order is a criminal offence.

OK do you have a friend or family member that can go with you to help?

You really need to try and sort this.

Question Author

Theres more to it but will have to get back to this thread in a bit.

Meanwhile, thanks for replies 😀
