Sony Xperia Xa1 - Very Slow To Boot Up - Help Please

Recently when I switch my phone on in the morning it takes ages to boot up - maybe 4 mins! The home page itself comes up quickly but then I have to wait some minutes before I can use it to receive Gmail and/or phone and messages.

I previously had an Xperia Z3 compact and my wife has one of those and hers boots up and can be used immediately.

You might ask why I switch it off at night but I have always done that to save battery - although being elderly I only use my phone for the occasional email and phone call or text and once charged fully it lasts at least 4/5 days before I need to recharge it.

If I leave it on all the time will this help and if so how do I stop it ringing at night? It is a new phone a few months old and it used to boot up immediately. Is it like my laptop where I was able to alter start up to only a few items to improve boot up fast?

I do have 60 apps when I look at the list and I have gone thru them and disabled many that I do not use but the phone will not let me uninstall them - is this the problem?

Thanks everyone

I have my XA1 set up in such a way that it automatically goes on silent at a certain time and then comes back to normal at a certain time in the morning. Select Scroll down and select Scroll down and select In there you can add, delete and edit rules for when your phone switches to silent. I have 2 rules set for mine - one for weekdays and one for weekend. My phone...

Thanks for that - have checked all these now.
First it shows 45% free so that seems ok?
I have disabled all the apps I can. It says disable or force stop so I went for disable - is that correct?
Went into Xperia help and told me all updates had been done.

Will see what happens now

Thanks

I suggest you leave it on and switch it to silent at night. I don't know the phone type, so can't tell you how to do that. it should be quite easy.

If you don't use bluetooth ensure that is switched off, as it uses up quite a bit of power.

I will try that

My phone switches to silent at 11pm Sunday - Thursday and comes back on the following day at 7.30am.
On Fri and Sat night it switches to silent at 12pm and comes back on at 9am the following day.

Thanks Gizmonster and everyone who answered.
I understand how to do this now from what you said and have set it all days off at 11pm and on at 6am so will see how that goes!

I don't know what happened to my post, but it's missed part of it out.
It appears that the forum doesn't like it when you place words in between 2 certain keys.
I can't put the keys on here, as it'll go all wonky again, but when you use them arrow keys (the ones above the full stop and comma) any words typed in between these are deleted.

Anyway, this is what my original post should look like:
Select //// Settings ////
Scroll down and select //// Sound ////
Scroll down and select //// Do Not Disturb ////

Thanks for BA by the way :)
