Check contract or ask the person you rent it from.
It'll depend on the terms of your rental agreement but up here sub-letting is frowned upon.
It's not supposed to be a business opportunity.
yes but make sure it is not commercial
and think about how you get them out if 1) your own lease ends, 2) you need it yourself
You are very lucky to have access to a garage that is actually big enough to be able to get a car in and still be able to open the door.
so long as you pay the rent most landlords dont mind

Manchester council ( not a leader in anything I agree) was aware that god knows how many of its properties were sublet ( you know with real people paying rent) and took a practical view:
we cd enforce the lease, have empty properties and no rent
