How Would You ‘Really’ Like To Help Someone If You Won The Lottery?

My friends daughter is going through the cruelest of times after her divorce,she has 3 beautiful kids, he abuses her mentally , so does his latest girlfriend
I’d love to say Here’s the keys love, you’re now mortgage free and here’s 10 grand to furnish it

If you won the lottery, I think the only thing you could give would be money. Money might be naff, but it's what would actually help people. If you say 'Hey I just won the lottery, so I want to tell you that I really love you, and so on and so on. Give them money with no strings attached.

We’d do 2 things: buy an apartment near London’s kings college hospital (£££s!!!) and allow loved ones of those in intensive care to remain there for free so they cld be close.

And….

Wld run a dog (or any pet) charity where we’d take in the animals of patients needing long term hospital care. Send them daily updates, doggy visits to hosp where appropriate etc. When people are desp ill often the last thing they can afford is animal care ! And yet knowing their pets are happy and waiting for them is often what Spurs patients on to fight to get well.


Both of the above come from personal experience

Besides my kids I wouldn't help anyone more than I do now. They'll just come looking for more. We are owed so much money, money we don't chase, which has taught me a lot about who to help.

yes there's a few things I would like to do for people who have been kind to me and there area few small charities I would up my support to.

If I won the Euro Lottery and won £200 Million I would open a non profit bank. No rip off fees, no punitive charges no high percentage rates.
Just a banking service aimed at the poor, but just covering running costs, no dividend for shareholders.

I would first stay anonymous and make sure no-one outside my direct inner circle knew about the win. Then I would donate to local charities and businesses who have been struggling with lockdown, also anonymously if at all possible.

First of all treat my brother. Then, open an animal sanctuary, but get others to run it for me as I'm no spring chicken any more, but I would go every day to visit the animals, play with them and love them. I would never turn an animal away. Heaven.

No Bobbs, I'd just say that a fabulous new animal sanctuary has opened near me (haha). Wish I could do it though.

I would help young riders by buying a dozen or so 2 year old racehorses and insisting that only the yards apprentices ride them :-)

Animals for me too. I'd open and run a cat sanctuary. Being surrounded by kitties would bring me joy :o)

Probably also donate some to dog, horse and donkey charities.

People wise, I'd purchase an unused or derelict office block and convert it into a place of safety for vulnerable people, homeless or victims of domestic abuse.

It would have to be a huge win though so depends on the amount.
