Masks/Face Coverings For The Under Thirties.

Earlier in local Spar two young women with no masks.

I took mine off, stood behind them and forced a couple of coughs.

What is it with these young people ?

Ah, so you are one of the COVID worshipers who dont stop to think if people could have problems like me.

Just because we are not using zimmer frames or wheezing like an old steam train doesnt mean you dont have a problem.

And I have suffered like this since I was 24.

they're young, they're invulnerable. They'll be sorry when they get infected without symptoms then all of a sudden their lungs collapse when they're 40. Mwaaahahaha

As has been said, they might have had reasonable excuses for not wearing a covering.

From what I've seen it's not just the young.

It's not, Hopkirk, I'd guess only about 50% of people in my local shop wear masks.

There's a couple of matters arising from that:

1. What evidence is there to suggest that those who are infected but suffer no symptoms might see their lungs collapse in ten years' time?

2. Them wearing a face covering would not prevent that anyway. The thing that might (and it's a very big might)would have been SparklyKid continuing to wear one and not coughing (forced or not) in their direction. But er......

Most of people wear them locally, Leicester is totally different with lots old and young not bothering.

Yes that was a strange one.
Without wishing to tempt fate it looks like it was indeed scaremongering. And odd, because if you are going to extrapolate like that, why stop at 50,000 cases? Another month and it would be 800,000 a day. Is 50,000 the limit of believability?
