I hasten to add. This did NOT come direct to me from City of London Police FO and I cannot verify the authenticity of this latest advice. It came from a friend of my wife.
If it is true and saves someone losing money by fraud then all well and good.

//Straight from the City of London Police fraud team - Extremely sophisticated scam going about this morning. Definitely Danske bank customers but possibly all banks. You get a message saying a payment hasn’t been taken eg O2,Vodafone or EE and to click here. As soon as you touch it the money is gone. They already have all your details and it’s the most advance scam the bank has ever seen. Pass this on to everyone. Please. This is from work this morning - they are being inundated with calls - thousands flying out of peoples accounts!

Even if false, it's a very timely reminder that scammers have no scruples in a crisis, so thanks for the heads-up retro.

Thanks. I actually doubt this is a genuine scam (is that an oxymoron) though in that I can't see how they have all the required details, and if they did why would you need to press anything.
Still, it's useful to be on alert for all scams , especially at this time with promises of covid tests, claimed free loans/increased cash withdrawals, bank is collapsing, apply for COVId furlough or grant, etc

If a fraudster has got all of the information needed to take money from your account, they don't need to send you any type of message. If they've got everything they need except for 'the last bit of the jigsaw', there's no way that simply clicking something can provide the missing bit for them.
