Hi...I have received a state pension forecast saying that during my working life my employer contracted me out of the additional state pension..I will have a full pension when I'm 67 but it also states I will have a small cope sum as well..any idea when I will receive the cope payment?..also who pays it? Does this not get paid until I'm 67 or do I receive it when I'm 60 ?? Confused.!!!!

The COPE is normally paid by the employer or whoever administers the contracted-out scheme. The date it is paid from depends upon the scheme so I suggest you contact your HR or payroll section for advice.

Thanks...I have no recollection of opting out of my state pension..looks about 4 years or so worth...I have no idea who this could be...but it's worth about £100 a month..will follow up link ..to trace who this was with...I'm guessing as it's a work type pension I should get that at 60...maybe not.
