It may be a scam....it may be real, it is difficult for anyone here to tell.

Roll your cursor over the address from which it was sent and see if the address looks a bit dodgy.
If you have never communicated with them via email then bin it.
Ignore the email and delete it. If your licence is due for renewal, renew it in your usual way.
I got these regularly and was even threatened with court.
Do not be intimidated.
Here u go.

"We will always:

use [email protected] (or [email protected]) to email you. On a mobile device select the sender’s name to reveal the email address.
include your name in our emails (unless you told us you don’t need a licence and didn’t provide a name)."
Ignore, and do what you normally do in regard to your licence.

I get my TV licence free because of my age.

I will delete the email. Thank you all.
I have just received my free TV Licence accompanied by note informing me that from May 2020,unless I receive pension credit.
Maybe the E-mail is warning you of this.
Yes, it's a scam. I have received a couple of these - just delete. Apparently another one doing the rounds at the moment is an email purporting to be from the DVLA letting you know you have overpaid your road tax and they want to send a refund to your bank. Yeh, right.
