A lady dies one year and her sister died 10 months later.

thousands was in her savings (second sister who had no children) and so this money should have gone to the dead lady per se.

However another brother is alive so I assumed he would get the lot but he didn't

Law decided that the 3 children of the first lady were beneficiaries along with the brother

I know that's happened but I wondered did the 3 children of the brother get money too.

Thanks

I would imagine no, unless the beneficiary (brother) decided to share with them.
Because the sister had died, her share went to her children. The brother was still alive, so he got the money and no reason for his children to get anything.

I am delighted for the beneficiaries and their aunt would have been delighted too. The one brother did think he was next of kin and this sister did not like him one bit. So glad for the girls.
Next of min means nothing.
