Stamp Duty Question

I have only ever owned a park home [mobile home]. If I purchase my first bricks & mortar property would I count as a first time buyer and escape the full rate of stamp duty? Likewise, if I buy the latter property [whilst still owning a park home until it is sold] would the new purchase be subject to the second home rate of stamp duty. Any help or advise gratefully received. Have popped in to a couple of estate agents for advice but they didn't have a clue!

HMRC's definition of a first-time buyer is "a person who has not acquired a freehold or leasehold interest in residential property in the UK (except a lease with less than 21 years to run) or an equivalent interest anywhere in the world."

estate agents are pretty useless - even if they had advised, I would nt rely on it - one couldnt tell me what I was buying ! - "once you have decided on the price, you discuss all that widda lawyer yeah?" - and kept her fact completely straight during this deeply thought out speech. I didnt buy

it looks as though you would be caught by the provisions - but only start paying >£150 000.
I mean if you have ever lived in a mobile - is it on the cards ?
