After a recent eye test I selected some new frames. It would appear that for some reason they do not sit properly on my face, despite a trip back for readjustment. My old frames fit very well and I now have the option to go back and see if the optician can make the necessary changes. If this is not possible, what are my options.

Will your new lenses fit in your old frames?
Ditto tilly

Unfortunately no, slightly different shape.
What opticians?
Optician ought to have tried frames on you before you bought them...even Specsavers do that here and have been denied some frames myself for that reason... was it a chain store ?
I got two pairs from Specsavers. One was varifocals. They said if I didn't get on with them they'd change them for no extra cost. And they should have fitted them first.
If optician sold you a product without fitting them first then they are not fit for purpose..no pun intended...he is obliged to change them..
Or refund..

It was our local Asda. First time I have strayed from my usual optician but I am restricted with getting about as I am full time carer for my husband and this is a new shop just around the corner. Other people have been there and been happy. There was no fitting done when I chose them.
Have you asked about new lenses in old frames?
I'd email and see what they say.
Genie... they have to give you new glasses...Not to fit prior to purchase is negligent...they will not contest you..they'll know they were remiss..
No big deal or loss to them !
Won't fit Tilly !
Ignore above.... yes Tilly ..
I just wondered if Genie was 'assuming' that the new lenses wouldn't fit the new frames. Just wanted to know if she'd actually asked.
I have a small bridge on my nose so my glasses never fit first time, but they always adjust them at the time of picking them up, hope you went to a reputable optician.
^old frames, I meant.^
I think you are learning you get what you pay for
go back to your old opticians
