My sons in breach of a conditional discharge for been drunk and disorderly. Got arrested last night for the same. In court 4th july. Whats the likely outcome?
I paid off his last lot of court costs etc, cant do it again. Bit worried about bailiffs etc as he will not take any responsibility for his finances.
He will just disregard any court judgment but it will leave me with the mess to clean up.
How on earth can I deal with bailiffs collecting his mess?

Question Author
What is wrong in ur life that you have to come out with such bile on an open internet forum?
Nailit, what hatred and bile?
It's not bile, Nailit.
Peter Pedant
\\Hi address is yours so when he defaults they are allowed to come around to yours - and you have to show everything is not his - but yours. You do this by receipts //

does it not work the other way round and they have to prove what what is his, after all we dont all keep receipts from something bought a few years ago and so cant prove ownership.

Dave.
No it doesn't Dave.
webbo yes it should do in law
practically speaking it doesnt
( see Ladybird)
The problem is that the debtors address is Nailits
so - "its obviously all mine" may not work
and it is not surprising that the bailiffs will start there.

It's bile, Nailit. pure and simple

crikey this legal thread is a bit in-your-face
so if they took something belonging to nailit because it MAY belong to his son isnt that theft.?

Dave.

Nalit some of the posts were personal insults.
Ummmm, where did I give false information about washing glasses? I am intrigued .
I really do have a personal licence to sell alcohol , I will post a photo of it if you want. I have also successfully attended the Greene King cellar management training course.
I'll catch you on another thread, Eddie, because this is in law. I'll answer you in a lighthearted thread in CB :-)
Hi Dave - we had another Nigh -" dont read this thread ! " post
and I wondered if you might take the advice ( not to read)

papers have articles on wrongly taken goods _ I will try to dig one out. It gets sold for peanuts ( 10% value at auction ) and the sellers just shrug their shoulderes and say oops heres the money

No not theft as there is no intention permanently to deprive AND they reasonably think it is the debtors

so the big thing is not to allow the goods to fall into the 'wrong hands' as it is such a run around to get them out ( er lawfully of course)

as Nigh so wisely said - dont read this if they dont know what they are talking about...so ......

my only contact ( besides 'can you pay up we will pay you later' ) is to ensure successors tenants dont get involved in their predecessors ( ex-tenants same prop ) debts. The extra charges are truly mega - £600 debt and £1492 service charges ( two visits, wouldnt answer the door) .

didnt answer last night - it was all getting a bit frawtie-pooze

He's not your stalker. Why do you keep saying that?
nalit, Mamyalynne's link has the answer..
You can make an official declaration of assets in front of a witness and get it endorsed by the court or a solicitor . That will prove the goods are yours and not your son's if the bailiffs do turn up.
