I ask specifically about parts of the Cornish coastline, much of which is on NT land.

They don't, what they do is prohibit commercial photography.
I notice that your link is dated 2009 Hans. Things have changed since then in that amateur photography without flash is permitted inside most NT properties. There are some exceptions eg, where there may be copyright issues, so some properties allow it, some exclude certain room and some ban it altogether.
no I dont think they do - have the power to ban photog on their landscapes

if they think they do - ask them about the legal basis

insidethe houses - that is a different matter ( as the lawyers would say )
