Hi, my partner and me live apart. She in Frankfurt and me in England. Just want to know how to dispose of my house ( fully paid for ) and contents as she is my sole beneficiary but is unable to travel. Are there specialist companies?

ps I'm not intending to play the harp yet but am trying to be forward thinking.

I take it that you do not want her to have the house and contents but the monetary value of them.
Just state in your Will that you want your Estate to be sold and the proceeds added to any cash. Your Executor will then comply with your instructions and send the funds after payment of any bills and costs to your partner. This can done easily through any the Bank or a a specialist money transfer company.

Thx for the answer. It would be impossible for her to get over here and deal with the estate. Would the Executors find a company to sell to and if so what kind of percentage would this entail.
The Executor would sell in the usual way through an Estate Agent whose fees could vary from 0.75% to 3% so would need to shop around/ negotiate for the best deal. On top they would have solicitors fees probably around £600 for selling only. All will depend on value of house. If you appoint a friend or relative as Executor they would be able to deduct reasonable expenses for the work they do but if a solicitor or Bank their fees will be based on a percentage of the value of the Estate.
