major fight with boyfriend, scared its over :(?I had a major fight with my boyfriend this weekend over nothing. Both of us were drunk but things turned physical and I have some bruising. He didnt hit my directly but was shoving me around. He blames the whole thing on me. I can accept I was partly responsible as I shouldn't have said anything to start off with..nothing aggressive or anything but he wont take responsibility for what he has done and is blaming me for the whole lot of it. The bruising is worse in some areas I.e. bum where I was pushed into a unit but have added some pics. I do love him dearly and he has never ever behaved like this before. I don't want to lose him but he hasn't been in contact with me all day. I just don't know what to think about it and I'm in tears.

If he can't accept that it's totally unacceptable to hit, shove, physically attack his girlfriend/ partner then you should walk away. And don't give him an inch until he apologises -- and for that matter not even then. He should have apologised immediately. Missed his chance. It's always sad for a relationship to end but sometimes, as in this case, it will be for the best.
Drink, drink, drink...................

Learn to live your life without getting drunk.
Doesn't sound a big deal to me.

Leave it to settle for a week.
so is that what you do when you have drunken arguments with Mrs Sqad?
I can accept I was partly responsible as I shouldn't have said anything

Great. You really want a relationship where you mustn't speak out of turn? I'll tell you what to think about it: leave this violent drunk now.
woofie - let us keep on thread, please....

Lozza, you will have to decide what you are going to do if it happens again as it surely will.
woofy.....yeah!

Slap her around a bit and she then realises who is boss.

Women respond and appreciate authority.
PP I am just questioning the basis for a poster's opinion. I do take the OP's question seriously and therefore consider "flip" answers inappropriate.
Do you fight back?

Me and OH have had some pushing matches. I always win because he won't raise his hand to me :-)
I would throw in the sponge after round 1.

why bother to go to Round 2 just to find out if Round 1 was as bad as you thought it was ?
If he won't raise his hand to you then I think he's won Ummmm.
Shoving leads to pushing leads to slapping leads to punching. In some cases.

The big problem here is that he will not accept responsibility.

Sqad - something you can be a proper prat.
*sometimes*
Yes LB....I don't hit him either.
Good answer ladybirder.
Why thank you viv38.
Put your head before your heart, and find a decent bloke. This relationship is doomed. Of course short term it's extremely upsetting and tears are inevitable, but that's no reason to keep exposing yourself to risk of physical assault.
pushing. bruising, nothing aggressive, I do love him dearly, he hasn't been in contact all day, he blames the whole thing on me . '' womens aid '' is full of similar stories. im sorry to say. good luck.
I'd think you're well out of it, laura. Don't chase him up. He's a bully.
