I have several business lines that are in my name but trading as a company that I don't own - who has legal rights over these accounts the individual or the company ? Thanks

If the accounts are in your name, BT's contracts are with you, not with any third party. It's you that they'll pursue through the courts for any unpaid bills, so it's clearly you that has any legal rights relating to such accounts.
