Got a ccj in 2009 it's due to go off my credit file in May next year. Got a letter from the court saying the company I owed the money to has changed their name and have had a judgment just to show that it's changed it's name.

Will this show up on my file as a new judgment for the next 6 years?

As it's in relation to the same debt it shouldn't remain there, but if they have got a new CCJ it very likely will unless you are able to do something about it. If it is a new CCJ you should have had Court papers about it before it was decided.

Ask the Court Office for advice, or go to your local CAB or other free debt advice agency with all the papers.

No it's not a new ccj and no letters were sent before hand detailing it was being done so I guess I won't?
