can anyone shed some light ( no pun intended ) on how the lighting system of nearbye hotel car park, seems inoffensive in the carpark, but almost blinds us in our driveway 80 yards away

thankyou heathfield, I have contacted local council about this., I just hope they can do something to improve the situation.

Do the lights glare directly towards your property? If any do then you could ask them to realign so that they do not point outwards but point only onto their car park.

not sure why this is an issue for the council. have you contacted the hotel, explained the situation and asked them if they can just change the angle of the light? i note that you've said that the light almost blinds you in your driveway - does it really cause you any problem then?
