Pnc Question-Police Carried Out Ilegally?.

I suspect a met policeman has done a PNC check on me, this was to check my background after I rented him my house. He made complaints re condition of said house however, these were without merit. He emailed me threatening to "take the matter further". He subsequently gave a statement to the police and my employer regarding payment of rent and cheques issued. He knew of my employer and obviously approached them when he found out I was going through a court case and would not bend to his threats.
How can I find out if he has done a PNC on me? I am aware that it is a sackable/jailable offence. He had no reason to do this as our issue would have been civil, not criminal and he had absolutely nothing to do with the case.

Yes it can be checked but you will have to contact the force and discuss the matter or make a formal complaint
If you are satisfied this has occurred a complaint to the Metropolitan Police should be made.
You could consider contacting the met police professional standards department and making a complaint. you could also make a subject access request for all information held about you on the police national computer or local met databases, you could specifically ask for info re when this was last searched and by whom (but the latter would probably not be forthcoming).
