I wonder if anyone can advise me
My grandson recently turned 16years old. Since he was young he has had
ADHD and problems with numerical work and has been under medical supervision etc and on certain medication since a very young age. He has started to become very moody and even more disruptive than usual -- throwing things about etc.and threatening to harm himself. His parents are doing what they can but the college doctors etc won't discuss anything with them because of his age and quote confidentiality etc.
What I was wondering is does anyone know of any way that his parents can get the doctors to include them in my grandsons consultations and to take note of what they can see is happening after all it is them that are with him all the time and can see how he is being effected. Any advice would be gratefully accepted. (Scottish law by the way if that makes a difference.

they will have to ask their son's permission, i'm afraid.
I feel for you but if your grandson is 16 you will need his permission to have his medical records divulged, the best advice I can give is to try to convince your grandson that it may be in his interest to have his medical details seen by those who have his best interest at heart.
