Can a 'Mirror Image Will' made 1 year ago by a married couple be altered following the death of one of the spouses. Thank you.

Yes. Once the survivor receives probate, ant property that they were left becomes part of their own estate to do with as they see fit.

Thank you so much Rojash. This has certainly helped to clear up a sensitive issue.
Your spouse predeceasing you could have been covered in the original will, you can now either revoke (cancel) your will or add a codicil (supplementary document which amends a will). I would suggest you have dealt with by a professional.
If it is a mirror will and one dies, then it is time for a major rewrite isnt it ?

Because the mirror quality means you are leaving it to someone you know is dead.....

and yes momo if you have people chipping in their two penny worth in the family then it is definitely worth paying for one.
