My council tax arrears has been sent to sheriff officer, debt collecting agency in Scotland. I am currently agreeing a payment plan, but will this show up on my credit rating?

Although I am not fully au fait with the Scottish process, I would think not, unless you had the equivalent of a County Court Judgement. It sounds from what you say it would be the equivalent in England of having arrears. Since the councils do not subscribe to giving data on Experian / Equifax, arrears will not show up, where as CCJs will.

Hope this helps

But do remember that council tax is one of the few bills which you can still be imprisoned for not paying!
