hi, i'm not too familiar with laws and consumer rights regarding private car sales,.
if a car is sold with immediate dangerous faults like parts coming away from the chassis, and other faults in which someone could be killed, what is the buyers legal standing,

Probably 'Deceased'.

Supposing they are still alive though, they would have every right to take the vehicle back for a refund - assuming it wasn't bought as sold and was in contravention of the advert.
It's a criminal offence to sell an unroadworthy vehicle,so Trading Standards MIGHT consider a prosecution:
http://www.wigan.gov....yMisdescribedCars.htm

If the purchaser suffers a financial loss because the vehicle was falsely described, he can demand compensation (e.g. by a refund of what he paid for the car) and, if it's not forthcoming, he can pursue the matter through the civil courts.

If anyone suffers injury through the actions of the vendor (e.g. by selling an unroadworthy car as 'roadworthy') that person can also seek compensation from the vendor (through the courts if necessary).

i had it checked, but with something like that it wouldn't be spotted especially since there was a bad job hiding that did last until i got the car home, i had a major job done on it, had the complete back end removed and welded to the chassis
If it was advertised as a good runner and not having been in a crash, you potentially have a claim for misprepresentation. However, it may not be worth it if the seller has no money.

haha, ye, true, but there was over a grand worth ov labour to be done exluding the parts
