Why do customers need to see it?
Whats a 86'ed list?
Banned customers I think
Question Author
its like u see those signs behind the bar that say do not accept checks from: john doe, or whatever, can i post a list of people who are not allowed as well?
Question Author
i cant find any laws against it, its not defamation of character cause it doesnt say why they are not allowed.. i just want everybody to know who is not allowed in my place of business
WHY?
Pubs are allowed to put up posters with a photo of banned Joe Public so I cant see why you couldnt!
Do you know all the names of your banned customers anyway?
Sounds like you want to make a petty dig at someone in particular?
Question Author
well ya, its meant to shame the people i kick out, just like posting "do not accept checks from" and ive seen those at every bar i go to
For me a list like that would put me off going in for a meal.Don't want to know the probs of the owner with the clientele.Think your list may cause you some retribution .Doesn't create a good image for your place .Legally you probably can do it , but think you would have to be certain that the incidents , whatever, had been reported to the police , so that they could be substantiated, otherwise what is to prevent you from say, putting me on the list , when I haven't even been a customer.?
Are you in USA? Going by the'checks' spelling.
I wouldn't want to sit in a restaurant that has list of baddies who've been there. my name might appear if I complain about the food/service!
