In answer to your question, I think they probably will have a case.

I was told the summons was 4 hunting chargers. It's a lercher type dog and he was on a slip rope with fields both sides with public footpaths running through them 4 walkers/dog walkers
So were you hunting/intending to?
Question Author
No it was 2 cold 4 it was just walking the dog
So, if it hadn't been too cold........?
perhaps they have been watching you then, as you have done it before?
Why then did you have the lamp?
I think we're talking BIG light connected to a car battery. The type poachers might use.

Doesn't matter if it wasnt 2 cold if I would or wouldn't have been hunting it was 2 cold n iwasnt hunting
So why did you have the lamp?
Mmm.
Question Author
It was a torch just with a bigger battery fitted 4 longer life
How long ago was this Moggy?
It might take a few weeks before any summons will come through.
You weren't hunting although you had all the paraphenalia with you to go hunting...?

And you think that because the Police didn't actually catch you hunting, you are innocent.......only by dint of the bad weather?
it sounds very much to me like you were either being watched, or someone had reported you before. I live in the country and the chance of seeing a policeman who "just happens" to be there is slim, in my opinion

Had light 4 seeing in the dark
What breed is your dog?
Question Author
I have traners and shorts don't make me a runner
I'm not sure about the analogy- walking into a bank with a shotgun wouldn't mean i was bank robber but I'd expect to be questioned by police
In answer to your question, I think they probably will have a case.

Good one factor.
Still hasn't answered the dog breed question I see.
