3 month short term rent

Good morning all , I will try and keep this short ,
I moved in to a house share 1 month ago . before I moved in the landlord understood that I was only waiting for my house sale to complete , His Words ( better to have some one in than no one )
My house sale has now copmleted , I paid 400 pounds in advance and 450 deposit , my next months rent is dew on the 23 of this month and i was going to leave the house on the 5th of september after paying him one months rent again witch I would only use 1 week of . I have asked about my deposit for the last 5 days by email and he will not answer me . He is answer his email to the other teanants within 10 mins . I do not wont to pay him one further months rent and then have him also rip me of for my deposit . I have also found my room on a web site saying available again after the 5th of september !!!! .
So the long and short of it is can, I use my deposit to stay one more week and let him keep the other 3 weeks , or do I leave on sunday and let him keep my deposit or do i leave and fight him for the money in the small claims .

You haven't said what type of tenancy agreement you have. Without knowing what was agreed at the outset (either in writing or verbally) it is impossible to comment.
