In a divorce case, do you get better service if you are paying for it compared to being legally aided? Thanks.

technically no, you should get the same advice. BUT it will depend on how long your solicitor has been doing divorces etc....

If you are on friendly terms with your ex you can do the divorce yourself. Each court can give you the required forms and assist you in understanding what you have to do. The documents are very thorough and take you through each section showing you what you have to do and sign.
