I am currently involved with cafcass regarding my daughter. I have just come our of the first hearing. The dad has not been around for 5 years and was bad news when he was around. We was not married and we did not live together. He has come back out of the blue and wants contact. My daughter (nearly 7 ) wants nothing to do with him and doesn't know him . The Cafcas officer was very rude to me and extremley sympathetic to him????? She has arranged for him to send to letters/cards to me daughter and says that if she has not read them whenthey visit, they will take her to her room withougt me and read them to/with her. Is this allowed? it seems outrageous that they will force her to endure this. Can anyone please advise. I am really desperate and very disheartened.

i very much doubt they would be allowed to take your daughter to her room and read stuff etc without your permission, go to citizens advice , failing that ring cafcass and make a complaint
