I’m going to put my net lights up at my window today if the Mr gets them out of the loft, tree on Saturday , love it when it’s all nice and Christmassy although I don’t do Decs, I’ll spend Friday writing my cards to post on the 1st of December
All thoughts of Boris, Covid, masks and vaccines will disappear in a puff of fairy dust :0)))

Thanks for posting that Bobbs, it's reminded me I bought some net lights after Christmas and I'd forgotten.
I don't even think about Christmas until Dec 1st, and then I ........ think about it. :-)

I put mine up early in November last year ( just the lights) my street ran a
Light up for Lockdown , it was lovely seeing everyone’s windows twinkling

One year my mum got a bargain artificial xmas tree and decided to make sure it was all ok so she put it up and then put the lights on it etc and it was great. The problem was that it was August and she said, well might as well leave it up now!

We always have a real tree, but whether real or fake it seems a tree is not happening this year with these kittens - they will be up it or have it over in 5 seconds flat!!

Smow, maybe something like this would work...you could also get some real pine boughs...the scent might be off-putting to kittens too.

Pasta that's a great idea for making myself, might do one of those to hang in the garden as we have plenty of twigs about the place.

Every year, without fail, my mother would visit and 're-arrange' the decorations on my tree. One year my daughter took a few photographs of my tree from various angles before i took it down. Next Christmas, using her photo as a guide, we re-constructed the tree. Only for mum to visit and 're-arrange' it yet again :-)

Smow, you could arrange a forcefield of cucumbers around the bottom of it. Cats seem to hate them :-)

Sherry is bleughhh, I recall putting a wee dram out for the big man in red along with a carrot for ‘Rudolph ‘ and a bit of Christmas cake on Christmas Eve before my daughter went to bed, of course I swigged it to let her think Santa had, vile stuff, I was pleased when the drink drive law came into being and the owld bu££er got orange juice :0))))
