Hi A/Bs and good morning, my question is a bit involved but here goes---
my aunt of 92years was officially adopted by my grandmother many years ago my grandmother had three natural children of which my father was the first born
as my father was the eldest child and I am HIS eldest child am I the official next in line. Phew! I hope this makes sense to somebody out there.

Thank you

If your Grand-father held some sort of title which was capable of being passed along the family line you would be in line for it. Was the Aunt older than your Father? If so, title of succession may pass to her as the eldest born unless title is specific to the eldest male to inherit.

Next in line for what?
For what purpose? If it's something like inheritance on dying intestate then all children are treated as equal irrespective of age including officially adopted children.
i don't know but you're definitely not prince charles
in line for what? the throne?
