Tomorrow will be the eighth day of the warning sent to the Caveator. How will I know if an Appearance has been entered? Can I phone Leed’s office to find out, or do I have to wait for official notification. I assume if nothing has been entered I can proceed with obtaining the Grant?

It would do no harm to phone the office.

I've heard from Leeds that no Appearance has been entered but they have attached forms for an affidavit. Do I take them to the local probate registry to swear the oath?
