I am new to San Francisco. I love Chinese food and am looking out for a nice Chinese restaurant here. Any suggestions?

This is a UK based website and the chances of someone reading this question that has any knowledge of restaurants in San Fransisco is remote!

You need to repost in a US based forum.
Now in SF would be about 4am?

Me-thinks porkies here?
There is a huge area in San Francisco called China Town, which as its name suggests, is full of Chinese Restaurants.

If you really lived in SF you would know that.
Yes, but try China Town only if you don't mind being elbowed by all the tourists. This is a U.K. site, but I live in the U.S. and travel to SFO regularly.

If you insist on attempting China Town be sure to try Great Eastern Restaurant at 649 Jackson (at Beckett). they are well known for the quality of the seafood. I tend to judge a good Chinese restaurant by the quality of their Hot and Sour soup, since it's a complex dish and takes time and effort to produce. Great Eastern's is one of the best.

Outside of China Town, be sure to try Hunan # 2 located in the Richmond District at 4450 Cabrillo Street... great hot and sour but don't miss their Ginger Chicken...

Enjoy!

Try Yank Sing Restaurant in Spears St. They make some really yummy dim sums. Thats the only one I know of. Im sure there are more. Try searching for Chinese restaurants in http://www.centerd.com. You will get a lot more information on Chinese restaurants here including the directions.
