Can anyone help with this? If you have left your job but the business isn't bringing in any money yet and won't be for probably a month or so would you be able to claim any sort of benefits?

Any advise would be appreciated, thanks

You may get some benefits but you can only get unemployment benefit if you are available for work. You'll probably get some help if you have a family.

No. Your on your own I'm afraid. If your business has sufficient capital reserves you could authorise a company loan. I suspect though that you haven't approached a bank for financing as they would have advised you to build this eventuality into your business plan, and provided financing to cover the start up period while you are building your business.

you can claim seldf employed working tax credits if you can predict your income would be fairly low.ring or visit the tax ofice
