Uniforms?

Anyone know if theres a leglislation that says if your employer doesnt provide a uniform then a clothing allowance is made? i vaguely remember hearing something about tax allowance for uniforms but not sure.

No there isn't. Work apparell that is required to meet health and safety standards in some trades is included in the allowable expenses on a self assessment tax return.

Sometimes you can get a tax allowance for laundry of uniform, etc, as well - but not normal clothimg..
