Please help me. I am very stressed and dont know what to choose. I have 2 different job options and I am torn apart between them. The first option is to teach in a remote fly-in First Nations community where accommodations and utilities are provided by the school. This community has no roads and only dirt roads, and only 1 very expensive grocery store (thats all and nothing else). The second option is to teach in a 2 hours away community from my city and home, where nothing is provided by the school so I would have to get my own accommodation there. It is a rural area without much to do either but it has proper roads and not dirt roads and is close to my city and family.

which option should I choose? Please help me out I dont know what to do here.

thanks so much

Is there a difference in the salary?

Would you be better off in job 1 or job 2? If job 1 is all-in and pays less than job 2, would your take home pay from it be better than what you would have after deductions from costs caused by job 2?

@Tuvok job 1 pays more than job 2
Have you worked out which gives you the better take home pay after deductions/expenses?

Ultimately its your decision.
There's a lot that we don't know about you. For example, if you've always lived with (or close to) your family because, say, you studied at a university in your home area and are now seeking your first job, I'd STRONGLY recommend taking the job that's well away from home (rather than the one where you can fairly easily go home at any time), as you need to experience some true independence from family ties.

However if, say, you're older than that and have lived in lots of difference places in your country (Australia?) and possibly elsewhere in the world too, such a consideration is clearly irrelevant.

I'm guessing that you're still fairly young though. One of my regrets in life (as I approach the age of 70!) is that I wasn't very adventurous in my younger days. If you don't want to end up with regrets like mine, take the more adventurous step now and accept the first job that you've told us about!
