Hi there
I went for an interview last Tuesday - the only other candidate was internal like myself and she has got it (don't ask how I know) I have yet to be contacted to by anyone officially to be told I have not been successful. When I am one of the things I wish to comment on is how waiting (now) over a week is very ??????
Now I am thinking of a word beginning with T but not Tawdry - so what am I thinking of?

I would personally be annoyed if the successful candidate got the job and was told so before I had been told I hadn’t got it.

the tardiness is one thing but I'd day that if you found out you do not have the job because you found out someone else did that could be described as "indecorous". They should have told you both the outcome at the same time.

The rationale behind telling the successful candidate first is that if the candidate turns it down (it does happen) then it can be offered to second candidate if they are suitable.

I want to say that its unprofessional to wait so long but I can hardly expect anything else from this shower of #### and I hope they don't believe in Karma cause they have got a rough rid coming

Seems like you can't reveal you know the outcome already then. And always bear in mind you may need a reference in the future.
