Pls help Me work Out holiday entitlement.

Began work 28 sept 2020.
Entitlement is 28 days per year (this includes bank holidays)
Holiday accruel in the company begins 1 jan ends 31 December

Will you also pls explain how the figure is reached (ie the sum / maths part)

It gives 9.5 because the statutory entitlement includes the bank holidays. Take off the two remaining bank holidays in 2020 and you're left with 7.5 actual working days entitlement earned from 28/9/20 to 31/12/20.

the annual entitlement of 28 days here already included bank holidays tho, tony. Its best to assume the gov site is right and see whether Hr agree. A think the gov site rounds up to a full month in the first year and then maybe round's down in the year the leave. As a say it makes my head hurt especially when I work part time on some days and different shifts each week so its best left to HR
I don't understand why the entitlement for the same period is lower if the employment is ending.
Ok bobbin didn't realise that, you live and learn.
