Interview Question.

So I applied for a job at this company about a year ago and didn't hear anything, and then a couple weeks back a recruiter for another smaller company under the larger company's umbrella contacted me saying they wanted to interview me for a job. I have gone through most of the process, the final in person interview is next. How do I let them know, without completely ruining my chances of getting this job, that I will need a week off l shortly after I start because of a family vacation that was scheduled 10 months ago and that I spent A LOT of money on that I won't be able to get back. I really want this job. It is a great opportunity and getting contacted by that recruiter was a completely unexpected event. Any advice?

Just be honest in the interview. They can only say yay or nay, and it's something they would have come across quite a lot, I'd imagine.
Tell them the truth. If they have anything about them they will organise things accordingly.
If they want you they will work around it. The only thing is it will probably be unpaid as you haven't worked with them long enough to accrue much annual leave.
Bring it up when they ask if you have any questions
Leave it as late as possible in the interview but do mention it. Mention it as a fact, ie that you have a pre booked holiday which you need them to note, rather than ask it as a question as to whether or not you can have the time.
