Young alba gets paid each Thursday.
If he hands in his notice tomorrow, how many days would he have to work to fulfil his week's notice?

(He can't find his contract of employment)

Many thanks.

As far as I've always believed, if you are paid weekly then you must give one week notice. So if he hands in his notice tomorrow (Wed 10th), his last day working for that company would be Wed 17th.

Does he work set days or random from week to week.

(Hiya, by the way!)

Hi 2sp xx :-)

I always understood that too, ie, handing in a week's notice on a Wednesday, you finish the following Wednesday.
He's been there for nearly 3 years, mon to fri, 6 am til whenever they finish.
He's rather ticked that the new starts are earning about £25 less than him, he's been told there's no money for a pay rise for him.
I'm really quite miffed on his behalf, he's raging :-D
That really is a bit poop.

Has he got another job lined up?
I hope he doesn't regret it. Has he got something else lined up?

I've done the 'don't quit until you've got another job to go to' routine,
he's planning on going back to college at the moment, He really is fizzing, one of the new starts is a pal.
He knows it's not pal's fault.

Haven't told him yet, he won't get dole money for quitting, must remember to drop that bombshell on him.
If he plans on going to college, could he not just stick it out until the new term starts?

I can understand his anger.

Must toddle for now, hugs to the mini sp's xx
Good luck with Young Alba! xx
i don't really get what the problem is The new starters will be getting 100% more than him if he leaves!
Anyway, he would have to work a week if he's handing in a weeks notice
