I am 14 years old and i am gonna turn 15 soon in less than a month and i want a job a saturday and sunday job to earn extra money and i do not want a paper round or a baby sitting job i want another job in the west yorkshire anyone got any ideas.

There's always a shortage of people to deliver free newspapers. You can do it at a time that suits you. Or a Saturday job in a cafe or shop?

Naeem, you'll need to get a work permit, ring your local council and ask them how to go about it, there are some rules about hours and what jobs you can't do. Good luck.

Why would they need a work permit?

Just checked my local county council website and it looks like the employer needs to get a permit for the under 16 year old, no wounder it's so difficult for the unders to get a PT job now days.

Naeem, when my daughter was your age she was in the same position, the best thing that she did was to buy herself a buket, sponge and some car shampoo. She went around the village, explained that she wanted to earn some money and offered to wash cars. she built up quite a list of regulars who had their cars washed every week, or fortnight. It was hard work, but it kept her happy for a couple of years, and she made herself regular money, she also worked when she wanted to and wasn't tied to set hours. Just check what your nearest drive through car wash is charging and charge less. good luck. X
