How do i stop people taking me for granted. I work hard mentally and manually. I offer adice freely and openly and it comes to good effect. I make every effort to comply and to be of a good nature, in sharing an honest friendship to people. I have made some suggestions that have been given a hight profile and in many cases people have reaped reward from these sugestions. In answering peoples problems I have been given more problems to sort out, as if it is a pleasure to me. Its hard work with little personal reward. I can't just stop because there are always problems to sort out, but, how do I show people that my hard work comes from the heart and that is a matter that should be appreiciated in an honest manner and with some reward on occasions. I'm sure that there must be quite a number of people who can share the same sentiment........we need to get a message across, methinks. Kevin O

As i keep reminding my husband "the reward for hard work is more hard work"

so chill out!

maybe your taking too much of the world onto your shoulders ,you have to think what would the people who i advise do without me ,well the simple answer is this .they would manage . maybe your advice isnt wanted maybe you interfere where its not asked for ,I do know that if you write doormat on your head people will step on you , stand back and let them get on with their lives and you get on with yours .good luck xx L

Getting through life as a hard worker, is hard work.

There is no easy way to the top, and if you do stick to it in 20 years you'll be richer and more powerfull. If thats what you want out of life, go for it.

if you really are fed up with it. its your life to change.

Good luck!!!

I agree with you and I have been where you are now . You don't say what it is you do for a living. (not that it's any of my business ;-) ) All I know is that once in a while you do need to take your foot off the gas, to give yourself a chance to unwind a little and see what else is going on around you. xx

I posted this question in 2005 (april or there abouts) i was quite surprised by the answers everyone made. But, and it is a BIG But, i really thank you all so, so, much. I was at such a low ebb. And i am now working in design and technology. I am still working hard, but, the work is paying off now. Mainly due to the fact that the answers you all gave me...were so to the point. Some people might have been put back (i wonder) by your replies. Maybe not. Your fantastic...all of you. X for the Girls...big thanks Lads
